Carrboro Day 2026 - Town of Carrboro, NC

Join us on Sunday, April 19 from noon to 4 p.m. at Carrboro Town Hall, Town Commons and along Weaver Street for Carrboro Day! Carrboro Day celebrates the spirit of our small town and the values that define our way of life, while championing equity, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. The event brings the community together to honor local culture, uplift diverse voices, and ensure inclusive access and participation for all.

Music and poetry will be featured at Town Hall beginning at noon and along Weaver Street starting at 1 p.m. Featured performers include Honey Magpie, a Chapel Hill based folk pop trio; and One after 919, a Triangle-based tribute band to The Beatles. Takiri Folclor Latino will showcase the Latin American culture through beautiful dance performances. Chapel Hill artist Wake Moody will play a variety of music that fuses R&B/soul with singer-songwriter pop.
Town Historian Richard Ellington will present “Carrboro Goes to War” about a local plant that produced ammunition during World War II. Ellington's talk will occur at 2 p.m. in the Council Chamber inside Town Hall.
Food trucks will be stationed at Town Commons.
