Campers will receive a box of art supplies that they will use throughout the week as they learn how to use mindfulness and meditation to get centered and creative. This low-stress art-making experience will provide participants with time to explore a variety of mark-making techniques. We will use daily journaling prompts to activate whole-brain thinking. Campers will be able to create expressive journal pages in order to understand and observe their inner thoughts and feelings reflectively.
What Will a Sample Day Look Like for a Participating Camper?
We will login in for a morning meeting, demonstrations, and/or instruction. Participants will be given assignments to make art throughout the day. We will meet again after lunch to discuss progress, critique shots, and play games.
Will the Program Run Through Zoom or Video Recordings or something similar? This program will be done through a combination of zoom calls and pre-recorded content for students to access both during camp and after it has ended. You can download Zoom for free: https://zoom.us/
What Supplies Will Campers Need to Participate in Your Program? Computer with access to the internet.
