An Early History of RTP: A Fireside Chat
*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 02/05/2026
Go behind the scenes of one of North Carolina’s greatest innovations! Join the Museum of Durham History for an engaging fireside chat exploring the early days of Research Triangle Park and its deep connections to Durham’s growth. Moderator Ginny Bowman will lead a conversation with panelists Robb Teer Jr., John Atkins, and Dave Beischer, whose work in architecture, development, and infrastructure helped shape RTP’s foundations and lasting legacy. Following the discussion, guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary reception in the Semans Gallery, where you can continue the conversation and connect with fellow community members. Presented in conjunction with the Museum’s exhibit Made in the Triangle: The Story of RTP, this event offers a rare opportunity to hear firsthand stories from the people who helped turn a bold vision into reality.
