Do kids benefit from Yoga?

Yoga is a great way to teach them how to be calm, while gaining awareness of their bodies, self-control and discipline.  Children need a quiet place just like adults, and yoga can help them relax enough in freedom to just be a kid. Children and adults who practice yoga are only better at regulating their emotions, manage stress and calm themselves.

What is Mindfulness? Mindfulness is a particular way of paying attention.  It is the mental faculty of purposefully bringing awareness to one’s experience.  Mindfulness can be applied to sensory experience, thoughts and emotions by using sustained attention and noticing experience without reacting.

Numerous studies have shown that mindfulness is a powerful tool for combating multiple mental and physical problems and disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
