Grade Power’s Summer Brain Camp is a fun academic weekly program for rising 1st -6th graders that covers six summer weeks. Camp runs Monday-Friday from 8:15am -11:45 am beginning the week of June 24-28, and continuing on through August 5-9. We will not have camp the week of July 1-5.
The camp day is divided into two parts. The first part is one full hour of tutoring devoted to addressing student’s individual needs in the subject areas of reading and math based on a brief academic assessment and parental input. We use the Grade Power Learning curriculum for this portion. The second part of the daily program focuses on the theme for that week, and is a group of fun hands-on activities all revolving around that particular theme. We watch short videos, make crafts, listen to stories, do map work, and learn so much about each week’s theme. The themes will change from week to week. All themes incorporate more reading, writing, geography, history, math, science, and art as the subject allows. Camp is a fun and educational week designed to keep children’s brains active and working during the long summer break.
Dates: June 24-28 & July 8-12 Around the World Cruise
July 15-19 & July 22-26 America the Beautiful
July 29-Aug 2 & Aug 5-9 Expressions in Art & Poetry
