Rhythm & Rhyme: A Celebration of Liberty

*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 06/15/2023
Start your Juneteenth weekend with an evening of Spoken Word & Music, featuring the poetry of the Piedmont Laureate, author, professor & writer, Dasan Ahanu. Then get your groove on with music by Raleigh-Durham's own NiiTO. A band that has blended its unique sound to blur the lines between R&B, Jazz, Soul, Funk & Pop. It will be a night of thought-provoking fun as Mistress of Ceremonies, Brandi Q. Hancock, brings to the stage poet, Wild Perfection and songstress, Genesis Boggs! Tickets are available at the Cary Box Office. Classically trained soprano, Brandi Hancock, will act as host for the event. Brandi has been a guest soloist for the North Carolina Symphony and Durham Symphony, earning her B.A. in Music-Vocal Performance and Theatre Directing from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC.
