A crime has been committed! A most egregious one at that! In the small seaside town of Port Tunbrum, the humor has been stolen! Vanished! Purloined! And it happened so quickly that the town’s residents don’t know what to do. Luckily, Inspector Ellenshaw has just rolled into town to visit his Aunt Glynis, and he is up to the task to solve this crime and bring back the “funny” to this curious little town. And he will need some help.

We are so excited to present this new play at TAS+SD on our studio stage. Student artists will be cast in roles (all will have speaking lines) and will rehearse this fun and funny play over the course over 7 days. They will present the show on the last day to two invited studio audiences.

Student artists who are considering furthering their education to achieve a career in the performing arts are a great fit for this intensive program. We will explore four acting techniques (Stanislavski + Viewpoints + Uta Hagen + Viola Spolin) in our acting work as we delve into scenes, monologues, and improvised process work. This will give students a better understanding of each method as they continue their journey as actors. We will conclude the week in a “Process Performance” for a small invited audience.
