Nature Tales: Animal Mommies - North Carolina Botanical Garden

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a fun-filled story time all about animal mommies and their babies! We’ll start with sweet and silly stories about the ways animal moms care for their young. Then search for frog and salamander eggs in the ponds and discover how these moms help their little ones get their start. Come dressed for the weather and prepared to take a walk! Friday Night on White - Town of Wake Forest, NC

Introduced in 2016, Friday Night on White (FNOW) takes place in downtown Wake Forest from 6 pm - 9 pm on the second Friday night of each month from April through September (unless otherwise noted). A favorite among locals and visitors alike, the free concert series features local and regional party bands playing classic rock and pop, 70s, 80s, and 90s hits, R&B dance, Top 40, and Motown favorites. While you're downtown, you're invited to visit the variety of downtown dining establishments or enjoy delicious food from a variety of food trucks that will be on site at each event. Please note that some trucks may offer a limited menu at large events such as Friday Night on White and that menu options may change due to ingredient availability. Free mini water bottles are available at the Hope Lutheran tent on Owen Ave., while supplies last.

Artsplosure: the Raleigh Arts Festival

Artsplosure's Raleigh Arts Festival is one of the most original and longest running arts festivals in North Carolina. Held annually on the third weekend of May in beautiful downtown Raleigh, the festival is a 2 day event and features an Art Market comprised of approximately 175 juried visual artists from across the United States showcasing works in ceramics, glass, fiber art, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, wood and more. The festival presents national and regional entertainment on two stages, provides arts-based activities for children, and presents large-scale temporary art installations each year. Annual festival attendance averages 85,000+.
