Dungeons and Dragons, or D&D, is a tabletop roleplaying game where you take on the role of a character you customize, create and play through a game over multiple sessions. The story is mostly a series of encounters and situations that you are walked through by a Dungeon Master. The outcomes of the game are based on dice rolls which are modified by the character stats you chose! Vault Theatre is thrilled to partner with the Guild of Adventures to bring this class to life. Much like theatre, D&D is a collaborative act of storytelling with equal parts preparation and improvisation. The Dungeon Master sets the stage, the dice deliver surprise plot twists, and the players make choices in character to drive the story forward. It’s ensemble storytelling at its most imaginative, where every decision shapes the next scene.
