Explore a Rock Outcrop

Kids ages 7-12 hike to a rock outcrop to learn how rocks are formed and changed by rain, ice, plants and people.

Youth (ages 7-12 yrs) learn how rocks are created and changed to become the foundation for many ecological processes. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather, as part of the program will be outdoors in the preserve. Preregistration recommended. Sign up online at reclink@raleighnc.gov using course code #244777.
