July 4th Celebration

The annual Fourth of July Celebration is scheduled to return in 2022! The event will be held at Carrboro Town Commons from 11:00am-3:00pm on Monday, July 4th. Pre-event activities will be held at Weaver Street Market beginning at 9:30am. Please continue to check back for more details!

Annual Reading of Frederick Douglass' Essay

Mayor Damon Seils will host our annual gathering of community members for the annual Community Reading of Frederick Douglass' essay, "The Meaning of the Fourth of July for the Negro." 

Live Music at Town Hall

Please check back for more information, but our tentative lineup for this year's music includes:

11:00am - 11:30am - The Bulltown Strutters (The People's Parade and then on the Fun Zone Stage)

11:30am - 12:30am - The Maggie Valley Band

12:45pm - 1:45pm - Onyx Club Boys

2:00pm - 3:00pm - Sensory Expressions
