This is a 4-week half-day Summer Camp where we provide literacy and math instruction for 4- and 5-year-olds who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2026. The cost for this 4-week camp is $400.00. The camp hours are Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 12:00 noon. Class size is limited to 8 – 10 students.
During this 4-week camp, students will learn how to recognize and correctly form the lowercase and uppercase letters, learn the sounds of the letters and how to blend the sounds to form CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words, and learn how to write their first and last name. This camp will give the students a head start with phonemic awareness and phonics, which are key to learning how to read. Phonemic awareness and phonics are 2 of the 5 components of the Science of Reading. For math, they will learn how to recognize and correctly form the numbers 1 – 10, learn to count objects up to 10, learn to recognize the different ways to represent numbers 1 – 10, learn colors, 2D shapes, and patterns, and learn how to work with bar graphs counting objects.
Each student will receive a Kindergarten Readiness Notebook with all the materials covered, for them to keep and refer back to after the program is over. We will also have Storytime and arts and crafts. We make learning fun with lots of hands-on practice as well as literacy and math learning games.
