Little Explorers: Pumpkins - Dorothea Dix Park | Kids Out and About Research Triangle

Little Explorers: Pumpkins - Dorothea Dix Park

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 09/25/2023
While enjoying stories, songs and games, preschoolers will learn just how pumpkin seeds grow! We’ll even hunt for pumpkins right at Dix Park! Preschoolers will have fun learning about animals and nature at the park. Stories, games, songs, and live creatures bring this program to life for little learners! This program is for children ages 2-6 only. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please arrive a few minutes before 11 am. We know that sometimes late arrivals can't be helped, but arriving late can disrupt the attention of the group. This program is free to the public thanks to Raleigh Parks Nature Programs.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Know Before You Go

Accessibility

Dix Park continues to strive to be accessible and welcoming for visitors, including those with disabilities. Currently, portions of Dix Park, including some areas where programs and events occur, have uneven surfaces and are not fully accessible. Accessibility is a primary focus for early park improvements and all future planning and development.

Parking: Accessible parking spaces are available in all lots.

Restrooms: Accessible port-a-johns are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. Indoor accessible restrooms are available in the newly renovated Chapel.

Programs and events: Raleigh Parks Inclusion Services works with community members to support participation. To request a program modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), please complete and submit the Accommodation Request Form or contact Inclusion Services staff at 919-996-2147 or ParksInclusion@raleighnc.gov.
