Mark your calendar for PlantFest 2026, the annual plant sale and garden festival hosted by the NC State Extension Master Gardener volunteers of Orange County.
PlantFest is on Saturday, Oct. 10, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Blackwood Farm Park, north of Chapel Hill. Parking will be available at the park entrance at 1436 New Hope Church Rd., Chapel Hill. For disability parking, enter at the main entrance at 4215 NC-86, Chapel Hill. New this year: A free shuttle will take people from the parking area to the event and back.
If you're driving westbound on I-40, take Exit 266 to Highway 86 and go north to New Hope Church Road (the westbound ramp at Exit 263 will be closed).
There will be a huge plant sale with many beautiful native plants. We’ll have fun, hands-on kids’ activities, helpful gardening exhibits and demonstrations, lots of plant and garden information, food, a sale of locally-made art and crafts, free seed packets, tool sharpening, booths hosted by partner organizations (kids can meet a cow close up!), and more!
Hope to see you there! Visit www.PlantFestNC.org for more information. A plant list for the plant sale is at www.PlantFestNC.org/plantlist
