There is something primitive in how humans are drawn to the elements. We are mystified by lightning, rainbows, waterfalls, and leaves as they swirl in an autumn whirlwind. For children especially, the elements are magnets, drawing them to experience, imagine and manipulate. In this session, we will learn about firemaking through safe, hands-on learning. Children should come dressed to be outdoors and to get messy or wet. This program is designed to give parents/guardians time to enjoy the park while children enjoy the program. Ages 7-11 yrs. Cost is $3. Registration barcode is #230349. You can register by visiting reclink.raleighnc.gov, emailing wc.wetlandcenter@raleighnc.gov or calling 919-996-2760.
