We started Gift of Knowledge Academy because 60-80% of students are below grade level in literacy and math by the third grade. We want to be proactive and provide students with a firm foundation in literary and math so that they don’t get behind in the first place. Our kindergarten students have been reading in 5 months, and half of our second-grade graduates were reading on a fourth-grade level. We make learning fun! Our literacy curriculum is rooted in the Science of Reading. We offer a 10-to-1 student/teacher ratio or less, and we accept the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship.
