Benefitting the US Veterans Corps
Fit & Able is proud to launch the inaugural Stars, Stripes, & Strides event benefitting the US Veterans Corps. It's not quite a Veterans Day race but its pretty close and we hope you, your friends, and family will join us at our newest race at a park we love.
Their Mission: We are a Corps of Military and First Responder Veterans performing "Hands On" community service with a mission deployment attitude!
The US Veterans Corps was an idea that was based on the experiences that Ft. Bragg and Camp Lejeune Veterans had while volunteering for ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition and Operation: Coming Home that built and donated a brand new Hero Home for a disabled combat veteran. When the keys were delivered and the event ended there was a strong urge from these Veterans to continue the mission and therefore created the US Veterans Corps.
Stars, Stripes, & Strides shirts are included with 5K and 10K registration and finishers medals for all runners guaranteed if signed up by October 20th.
