Sundays in the Studio: Clay Santa Workshop
Sundays in the Studio is a series of 2-hour clay workshops, one Sunday a month, 2–4 pm. Each one is a single hands-on project your child finishes in an afternoon. $45 per workshop, up to 15 kids. Pieces are kiln-fired and ready for pickup about two weeks later.
Kids make a clay Santa face. They cut the face from a clay slab, smooth the edges, and add eyes, eyebrows, a nose and hat details.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Kids make a clay Santa face. They cut the face from a clay slab, smooth the edges, and add eyes, eyebrows, a nose and hat details. For the beard they use our “hair machine” to squeeze out fluffy curls of clay. Each Santa has a hole for hanging, so it can go on a tree or a wall. Kids finish by glazing it in classic red, white and rosy colors.
Clay needs time to dry and be fired in our kiln, so your child’s Santa will not go home that day. It will be ready for pickup about two weeks after the workshop, and we will let you know when it is ready.
Your child leaves with a one-of-a-kind holiday keepsake, new clay skills, and a relaxed afternoon in a small group. No experience needed.
