Easter Eggstravaganza

Individuals with disabilities, intellectual and/or physical, are invited to an egg hunt at Kids Together Playground at Marla Dorrel Park. Meet the Easter Bunny and KATAL the dragon, enjoy the playground, decorate crowns, and look for a dozen treat-filled eggs! Bring your Easter basket and a buddy, if needed. Each participant can collect 12 eggs, open them up for small prizes, and then trade in their empty eggs for a choice of a larger prize! No registration required. Egg hunts will be held at 6 pm and 7 pm.

Multicultural Day - Town of Wake Forest, NC

The Wake Forest Human Relations Council (HRC) will host the inaugural Multicultural Day on Saturday, March 23, from 1 pm - 4 pm at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks Street. Themed “Celebrating the local flavor of Wake Forest,” this free event will feature a variety of multicultural foods available in our community. Several local restaurants, food vendors, caterers and grocery stores will showcase their culturally diverse foods and desserts by providing free samples. Area residents are also invited to come out and view artwork from local students depicting their family’s various countries of origin. Attendees will have the chance to cast their vote for best artwork based on age categories. Several musical acts will also perform throughout the afternoon.

Honoring Black Women of North Carolina - Richard B. Harrison Community Library

Come and celebrate Women's History Month with us. We will share the life stories of four black women with roots in North Carolina. American author and educator Charlotte Hawkins Brown, American author and abolitionist Harriet Jacobs, World War II Veteran and civil rights activist Millie Dunn Veasley, and American civil rights activist Pauli Murry.
