MLK: Remembering the Legacy Through the Arts

On Saturday, January 11, 2025, Durham Parks and Recreation will host its annual program to commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The event will be held at the W. D. Hill Recreation Center, located at 1308 Fayetteville Street, Durham, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The theme is MLK: Remembering the Legacy Through the Arts.
Participants will enjoy a series of activities highlighting the components in the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. including visual art displays, poetry, live performances, and arts and crafts projects. In addition, participants will have access to an array of different job trades and non-profit organizations with information to utilize. The event is free and open to the public.
