Chapel Hill-Carrboro Juneteenth Celebration 2025

Chapel Hill-Carrboro’s Juneteenth celebration returns with food, fun, music, and more! This year, the event is being held at Carrboro Town Commons, 301 W. Main Street. Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. The Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro proclaimed the observance and commemoration of Juneteenth on June 19, 2020 and encourage residents and employers to recognize the holiday.

Time Traveling Tots at West Point on the Eno

Time Traveling Tots is a series of events set for Spring 2025, for our youngest community members – up to age five. Each iteration of the program includes a variety of activities including singing songs, reading a history-related story and completing an activity or craft. Activities are designed for ages 0-5. Siblings outside of the age range are welcome to attend but may not be able to participate in activities depending on available supplies. Guardians must remain with their children throughout the program.
