TLC strives to create a healthier and more vibrant Triangle region by safeguarding clean water, protecting natural habitats, supporting local farms and food, and connecting people with nature through land protection and stewardship, catalyzing community action, and collaboration. Check out our expanding list of events, outings, and educational programs. Whether you’re a kid, artist, hiker, birder, photographer or just an outdoor enthusiast, we probably have an event for you, and most are free or have a minimal charge.

LC continues to identify and preserve sites throughout the Triangle that are logical locations for open space. Through permanent land conservation, TLC is ensuring our region will have clean water, healthy habitats, local farms and fresh food, and plenty of places for people to connect with nature.

Triangle Land Conservancy Nature Preserves are located around the Triangle and open for you to explore for free, year-round from dawn to dusk. These preserves protect important natural resources while also providing opportunities for low-impact recreation like hiking, walking, running, photography, birdwatching, geocaching*, and more. Visit the preserves on your own, with family, or as part of a planned event or outing.
