Calling all dinosaur fans! Come spend a week exploring the world of dinosaurs! Just how big, small, old, colorful, smelly, and hungry were dinosaurs? Learn how dinosaurs moved, find food, and escape hungry predators. Look at the fossils we find in North Carolina while we excavate the mysteries of the past with live animal encounters. We will explore these questions and more; even going behind-the-scenes to see fossils and meet paleontologists.

Students will have the chance to explore the basics of a variety of circus skill sets, including aerial arts like silks and static trapeze. Skills taught also include hoop, poi, juggling, plate spinning, acrobatic partner balancing, basic circus gymnastics, clowning, theatre, mindfulness, and creative movement games. At the end of each week during summer camps, we’ll present our very own circus. No previous experience is required to perform under the Big Top! Dive into a summer of artistic delight as we revisit the most beloved projects from our past campers. This week features a series of artistic adventures, filled with the joy of creating your favorite works of art, from personalized wood signs to trendy canvas projects.

Join us for a climate quest! We will look at different sustainable projects within the Museum. Starting at the ground level, learn about climate science, green initiatives downtown, and solutions local leaders are implementing in our community. We will continue the quest by taking a walking field trip to a local garden and travel by van to learn about industrial compost. We will round out the week by implementing your green project at our Museum.
