The Homeschool Experience is a collaborative learning community dedicated to supporting families through engaging classes, resources, and meaningful connections. This summer, we’re excited to offer hands-on camps open to all children, with themes ranging from STEM and nature to art and active play—designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and make learning fun. At the heart of it all is The Hive, our new community learning space. The Hive is a hub for creativity, collaboration, and connection, where children can learn by doing and families can come together in a welcoming, inspiring environment.

Established in 2015, The Homeschool Experience began with a simple mission: to provide secular, inclusive, and engaging enrichment opportunities for homeschooling families in Wake County, NC. What started as a small offering of classes has grown into a thriving community serving students from preschool through high school with classes, field trips, clubs, and meaningful connections.

At our core, we believe every family’s educational journey should be flexible and personalized. Our a-la-carte model allows families to choose the classes and experiences that best fit their needs, schedules, and goals—without the pressure of a one-size-fits-all approach.

We also believe access matters. Education and community should be available to everyone, which is why we work with families through flexible payment options, bartering opportunities, and additional support when needed.

Over the years, something powerful happened: The Homeschool Experience became more than a program—it became a community.

And that community needed a home.

That vision led to the creation of The Hive—a community center built to expand everything we’ve been growing since 2015. While The Homeschool Experience remains the heart of our educational programming, The Hive opens our doors even wider.
